Movie with a Mission, Rescue Mission Alliance
Movie with a Mission is Rescue Mission Alliance’s heartfelt annual fundraising broadcast that brings together storytelling, community support, and the power of giving. Now in its 36th year, this televised event invites viewers to see how hope takes center stage as lives are changed through generosity, compassion, and action.
Airing live on December 7, 2025, from 12–3 PM on NewsChannel 9, this event blends compelling real-life stories with an opportunity for viewers to give back, turning entertainment into impact.
As part of rebranding this cherished tradition, the new logo was designed to emphasize the romantic and emotional act of giving. At the core of this concept is the belief that love is not just a feeling, but an action, especially when it means supporting those experiencing homelessness, hunger, or hardship. This identity captures that spirit by visually merging cinematic elements with heart symbols, transforming a simple movie reel into a message of purpose and compassion.
The logo invites donors and viewers alike to put love into action, one story at a time.

Logo Concept
The early sketches explore how visual metaphors like hearts, film reels, and play buttons can convey both cinema and mission-driven love.
Sketch 1 shows a projector with heart-shaped reels, an immediate and bold connection between storytelling and heartfelt giving.
Sketch 2 uses a filmstrip frame to spotlight the event title, suggesting both structure and narrative.
Sketch 3 highlights movement with a playful play-button in the “V,” focusing on the idea of action and engagement.
Sketch 4, which closely influenced the final logo, cleverly integrates a reel into the word “Movie,” blending form and message in a clean, balanced layout.
Each sketch was a step toward distilling the event’s message: giving is beautiful, intentional, and powerful, and this is a movie where the mission matters most.
